Aperitif at sunset

Dfter an intense hot summer day, what it takes to unplug from the frenzy (and above all take a little cool!) is an aperitif overlooking the sunset under the walls of the Aragonese Castle of Taranto or del Castle Charles V of Monopoli aboard one of our luxury dinghies.

You can listen to the music you prefer, enjoying good fish or sipping a good prosecco while admiring the beautiful Apulian coasts with your friends.

The Little Sea

IThe Mar Piccolo of Taranto is divided into two elliptical breasts, the first communicating with the Mar Grande through two gates (the navigable canal and the Porta Napoli canal) and the second slightly larger and more internal. In its basin flow streams bordered by precious humid environments, such as the river Galeso praised by Orazio e Martial, a refuge for numerous species of aquatic birds.

The Mar Piccolo in Roman times represented the site of fruitful activities related to the extraction of the purple pigment from the muricans, and to spinning of the byssus, the so-called wool-fin, taken from the great noble fin and used to weave fine fabrics.
