The Adriatic Salento

L Along the Adriatic coast of the upper Salento there is a very particular stretch of coast due to the hidden coves surrounded by cliffs, which gradually slope down towards a transparent and crystalline sea: this is the stretch of coast between Polignano a Mare and Savelletri.

This coast is undoubtedly among the most beautiful on the Adriatic coast: 20 kilometers of coastline that alternates sandy beaches with rocky beaches, sandy coves and shores and a sea that is always clear, clean and crystalline.

Starting from Polignano a Mare and going further south towards Savelletri, the coast is more rocky and full of high cliffs alternating with small and suggestive coves and sandy beaches.

MMonopoli extends along a 13 km strip of coast that alternates between golden beaches and small coves hidden between the cliffs, where it is possible to take refuge for a swim in crystal clear water with a shallow, sandy bottom. The most loved is Cala Subtle, a small cove surrounded by greenery, whose waters that fade from green to blue are always calm, even when it's windy. It follows Cala Susca, north of the city, a small cove of sand and gravel surrounded by a cliff whose peculiarity is in the flat rocks where you can lie down to sunbathe.
